THQ JUMPS INTO SQUARED CIRCLE FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF WRESTLING MAYHEM WITH ‘WCW/NWO REVENGE™ ,’ ONLY ON NINTENDO 64

Game Features 4-Player Battle Royal Action, Largest Assortment of WCW/NWO Superstars Ever in a Wrestling Title

CALABASAS, Calif. – October 26, 1998 – THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI), publisher of three top-selling and critically acclaimed wrestling titles for Nintendo 64 and PlayStation, is entering the ring with revenge on its mind, "WCW/NWO Revenge," for Nintendo 64. The sequel to the mega-hit "WCW vs. NWO: World Tour," shipped today and features double the WCW/NWO wrestlers, double the action and double the fun.

With more than 50 of the world’s most popular grapplers, including WCW World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg, Kevin Nash and "Hollywood" Hogan, and authentic wrestler entrances and Pay-Per-View arenas, players will be able to pummel their opponents in unequaled authenticity, utilizing brawlers’ signature moves and taunts.

"Nintendo 64, wrestling and fighting game fans will find the most realistic and thoroughly satisfying wrestling title on the market with ‘WCW/NWO Revenge,’" said Steve Ryno, vice president, development, THQ. "More importantly, the game play is what really makes ‘Revenge’ unique – it’s easy to master and has an extraordinary amount of wrestler moves."

Developed by Asmik of Japan, "WCW/NWO Revenge" features a completely updated roster of WCW and NWO wrestlers with genuine faces, hair and tattoos. From each wrestler’s past and present to his future, the game includes a complete line up of costumes and face paint that players can choose from.

Fans will recognize the real Pay-Per-View arenas: Bash at the Beach™ , Souled Out™ , Halloween Havoc™ , Starrcade™ and more. The game also features improved crowd graphics that have spectators with signs and face paint.

The all new "Championship Mode" allows gamers to win authentic WCW belts. By defeating brawlers in this mode, players might be lucky enough to expose secret characters. The 40-man "Battle Royal Mode" tests opponents skills – each time a wrestler is defeated a new grappler runs in to take his place. They can even bring weapons into the ring.

The 1 to 4-player game is available nationwide for a Suggested Retail Price of between $59.99 - $69.99. The title is also compatible with the Nintendo Rumble Pak.
